Phrasal verbs are organised into frequency tiers based on corpus research (how often they appear in real English). You start with the 50 most common and can expand at your own pace. You can also filter by CEFR level (B1–C2) or focus on specific verbs and particles.

Match mode helps you get familiar with the meaning and usage of phrasal verbs through definition matching. Gap-fill mode then tests you with rapid-fire gap-fill sentences. Both modes feed into your mastery tracking.

Every phrasal verb starts as "unseen". As you practise, it progresses through learning, familiar, and mastered stages based on your accuracy over multiple encounters. Verbs you struggle with are automatically resurfaced until they stick.
